“CrasH Talk” earns a No. 1 slot;
Earlier this week, ScHoolboy Q found his CrasH Talk album debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, falling short only against Hillsong United and P!nk on the chart spanning across charts.

The tally, however, inevitably led the TDEsignee to a top slot among Hip-Hop and R&B outputs for the week, earning Q No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Opening up with 81,000 equivalent album units, the Los Angeles rapper reprises his role previously earning the distinction with 2014’s Oxymoron and 2016’s Blank Face LP. Equally, you can find CrasH Talk at No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart for the week, another accomplishment earned by the previous projects.

With the arrival of CrasH Talk, three album selects also find themselves making significant waves on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts with the 21 Savage-assisted “Floating” debuting at No.25 while the Travis Scott collab “CHopstix” enters at N0. 32. Lastly, “CrasH” debuts at No. 46.

After a previous peak of No. 25, “Numb Numb Juice” reenters the chart at No. 38. In the next week, we’ll likely see a surge in listens for a few more tracks, namely “Water,” featuring Lil Baby thanks to a strong assist from a viral clip of a little girl reciting and dancing along to the track.

New Jam – ScHoolboy Q & Kid Cudi Float Over Guitars On “Dangerous” ScHoolboy Q – Dangerous Feat. Kid Cudi

ScHoolboy Q connects with a visitor from the moon.
ScHoolboy Q’s CrasH Talk, the product of a two-year writing session, has finally reached its completion date. With the project set to arrive tomorrow, a new selection has surfaced in select international markets, who are currently in the process of enjoying their Friday morning. On “Dangerous,” Groovy Q lights a signal from Earth to the Moon, summoning the eternal laid-back presence of Kid Cudi for the assist. That in itself is somewhat of a rare accomplishment, as Moonman Cudi tends to be reclusive where guest appearances are concerned. In any case, the pair connected for a slow-burning bout of introspection, courtesy of DJ Dahi’s trippy production.

During the track’s main verse, Q reflects on the dangers of substance abuse and frequent inebriation, a concept he’s previously explored on songs like “Prescription/Oxymoron.” This time around, Q is blessed with a newfound sense of clarity, providing listeners with an observer’s perspective. “Shadow my morning, I ain’t dreaming it right,” he raps. “Ain’t no way the flowers bloom in the night, family tried to warn me, couldn’t keep me awake.” With some Cudi “hums” thrown in for added ambiance, “Dangerous” is likely to emerge as a fan favorite. Be sure to check this one out, and sound off below.

Quotable Lyrics

Greet me by my hand ’till you teach me to float
Head is in the cloud, but my stomach below
Somethin’ about this feeling, I felt it before
Took this pill and it swallowed me whole
Pinch me on my arm, is it heaven or fun
If I don’t come back, had a hell of a run
